The World Steel Association (worldsteel) is a non-profit research organisation which serves as a world forum for the international steel industry. World Steel Association was founded in 1967. Its headquarters are located in Brussels, Belgium.

The World Steel Association was the first international association to deal solely with one industry. Worldsteel has now grown to become one of the largest and most dynamic industry associations in the world.

The World Steel Association's members currently include more than 185 steel-producing companies, national and regional steel-industry associations and federations, and steel research institutes. Worldsteel members come from over 55 countries.

Membership has increased steadily since Worldsteel 's founding in 1967. Nearly all of the world's major steel producers are members of the Institute. Both publicity and privately owned enterprises are members.
