The construction site for Living Steel's Kolkata demonstration at New Town, Rahjarhat is under preparation for start of construction in early 2008.

West Bengal Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd's pipeline that was located on the site has been cleared, and the electric cable lines have been diverted.

The construction site office's foundation is in progress upon which a Living Steel sky blue colour-coated 36m² steel office will nest. The site office is supplied by Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd., and its glass and insulation will be supplied by associate member Saint-Gobain Gypsum.

A matching blue temporary sheet metal boundary fence, also supplied by Tata BlueScope Steel, is also going up. Anyone in the construction industry knows that these are the exciting signs of the birth of a new building project.
