Piercy Conner UK, with offices in London, are the creators of the Kolkata demonstration building. A small local firm, Piercy Conner has been lauded by the British Counsel as an firm that has emerged in the last five years as one of the most Stuart Piercyconceptually advanced architectural practices of its generation, extending the theory and practice of architecture in a way that demonstrates a profound understanding of its cultural and communicational possibilities. Extending architecture, that is, beyond the practice of designing buildings into wider forms of social engagement.

They have now extended beyond the UK boundaries to Living Steel's demonstration project in Kolkata. Their competition-winning design has raised much attention in Kolkata, as well as the interest and excitement of a leading developer, Bengal Shrachi Housing Development, Ltd., who is seeing the construction through to occupancy.

Local Supporting Architect

Sanon Sen & Associates, Kolkata, India, are supporting Piercy Conner's efforts to finalise the design plans for build.
S&S credentials were widely acclaimed as long as four and a half
decades ago.  The firm was founded by VP Sanon in 1960. These credentials are matched today by the creativity of the young team of professionals who spearhead its design and project-focused approach. The next generation is represented by Harsh and Seema Sanon along with their team. Harsh Sanon will be working directly with Piercy Conner on the Living Steel project.
