Living steel and spiral technology DNA-sphere house.

I have the greatest job on the planet--talking to some of the globe’s best architects about innovative, sustainable communities using what we think is the best material for the job—steel.

Stability of the future - is to use the structure of DNA. I believe that
New technology will help solve the problems of housing and creation
a stable civil society.

Snowflakes are designs, crystals are designs, music is design, and the
electromagnetic spectrum of which the rainbow colors are but one millionth of its
range is design; planets, stars, galaxies, and their contained behaviors such
as the periodic regularities of the chemical elements are all design accomplishments.
If a DNA-RNA genetic code programs the design of roses, elephants, and bees,
we will have to ask what intellect designed the DNA-RNA
code as well as the atoms and molecules that implement the coded programs.
-R. Buckminster Fuller
Technology spiral DNA suitable for design airship and submarine, space houses and hothouses.
Thousands of people are realizing that fundamental change is within reach. - Yuri

Green with lights

We in the field of lighting design supply and consultancy feel that a great onus lie on us for creating sustainable developmemts,Our basic approach to any design should take care of the factor of :
1) Dark sky effect
2) Energy saving modules in light fittings
3) Providing optimum lighting using advanced lighting sources which translates using metal halide instead of low halogen or using CFL lamps or for that matter using 20w metal halide lamps instead of LV halogen which is 50w and gives 20% light and 80 % heat.
4) Suatainibilility using dimming controls and appropirate switching modules.
5) No wonder that LEED certification has an emphasis on light saving techniques.

We being in Kolkata try to advocate and educate this view to city developers.Would be more than glad to assist you to realise your dream project in the city of joy.

Hello to all of you out there in our readership. I’m the privileged person who sits in the editor’s chair at www.livingsteel.org. I have the greatest job on the planet--talking to some of the globe’s best architects about innovative, sustainable communities using what we think is the best material for the job—steel.

As building moves ahead on our Kolkata demonstration, Piercy Conner will be using this blog to talk about their design, their experience with the construction process, their visits to the site and whatever else they feel inclined to talk about! Come back often to hear right from the architect as they work to see their vision become reality. And, just like any Blog on the net these days, you can get into a dialogue with the architect and others in the global community about building sustainable residential communities in steel. Hope to see you soon. Kathy Hickey, Editor. - Kathy Hickey
