The International Iron and Steel Institute (IISI) is a non-profit research organisation which serves as a world forum for the international steel industry. IISI was founded in 1967. Its headquarters are located in Brussels, Belgium.

IISI was the first international association to deal solely with one industry. IISI has now grown to become one of the largest and most dynamic industry associations in the world.

IISI's members currently include more than 185 steel-producing companies, national and regional steel-industry associations and federations, and steel research institutes. IISI members come from over 55 countries.

Membership has increased steadily since IISI's founding in 1967. Nearly all of the world's major steel producers are members of the Institute. Both publicity and privately owned enterprises are members.
