nitsche arquitetos associados’s design allows different possibilities in the arrangement of the house’s skin in order to accomplish the desired comfort and to minimize the consumption of energy. The façade is made of a series of sliding panels that can be opened and closed to capture or deflect light through seasonal changes. As well, the design proposes the use of geothermal energy to warm and cool the house. The modular structure forming the basis of the design can be easily combined in different positions to obtain housing variations. The steel structure also works easily with different types of cladding and enclosures, allowing residents a multitude of options to personalise the outward appearance of the home.
